Advancement - Bonnie Branch o Eagles - Pat Kelly - Four Scouts will present their Eagle project plans for Committee approval in the next couple weeks. Adults are needed to attend these subcommittee meetings. Contact Pat Kelly to volunteer. - Scouts should always present their project plan to the troop, to gain experience making presentations, to solicit help, to inspire younger Scouts, etc. 9. Committee - Mark Steger o Adult training - All adults who are active in Troop 81 are requested to attend "Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster" training. This entails three evenings (Sep 24, Oct 1, Oct 8) and a weekend campout (Oct 17-19). o Adult leadership - Troop 81 needs an adult OA member to volunteer to be our OA coordinator. OA is an important program, both for recognizing outstanding Scouts and for keeping many Scouting programs staffed and running (like Camporee, Winter Camp, etc.). If you are an adult OA member, please consider taking on this responsibility that was handled well for several years by Richard Carter. o Berkner HS expansion - Troop 81 needs to begin thinking about what changes, if any, might be needed when Berkner becomes a four-year high school in the 2005-2006 school year. For example, if ninth graders are included in the marching band program, which practices Monday nights, we'll have more of a conflict than ever with Monday night troop meetings.
