Here are the minutes from our last troop committee meeting held on
Thursday Oct 21 at 7:00PM at RBF.

  0. General activities:

     Marksmanship campout (November) plan presentation - Pyro Patrol
 
    Marksmanship campout at camp Wisdom
    Charge per target ($0.35 shotgun target - 1 round,
    $0.15 rifle target - 10 rounds)
    Budgeted for $5.00 per scout.
    Opportunity to start and complete merit badges for riffle, shotgun,
    and archery.

        Pat sent word that he prefers that Scoutmasters/Asst.
        Scoutmasters/Patrol Counselors NOT write letters of
        recommendations for the Eagle candidates.  He prefers
        that the boys go elsewhere for their letters mainly for
        two reasons:

          1. The Eagle award is a Scout Award. Most of the adults
             in the troop know the candidates and how they operate
             during Scouting activities. We need to see the type
             of impact they have on the other areas of their lives.

          2. If a Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster/Patrol Counselor
             writes a letter, they can't participate in the BOR.

  8. New Scouts - Brian Moore
 
    Roger Morgan is providing a slide show for the webelos visit.
    For TFC's it was noted that it is okay to get two signatures
    for scout spirit; one from the TFC Scoutmaster and one from
    the patrol counselors.

  9.  Misc

    Motion to purchase the update to troop master program was
    ratified by the committee. (Cost $70.00).
